Photo | Shattered Rainbows

Seville, Spain

The dark interior of the Cathedral in Seville (Catedral de Santa María de la Sede), home of the tomb of Christopher Columbus, allows the sun to playfully explode rainbows through the stained glass windows that surround it’s main space, throwing them beautifully onto the columns and floor.

These broken rainbows seem magical in their imitation of actual pieces of glass, shattering and moving across the space as they hit the surfaces within the Cathedral, making the space somewhat reminiscent of an architectural kaleidoscope.
