Walking Men of the World

New York, NY

Worldwide Walking Men

I’ve always been interested in the minor differences from one city to the next, and one symbol of such small differences is the walk signal.  Weather it’s the slightly more bent leg, or the overall rigidity of the figure, each new country I’ve been to has claimed their own slight twist.  If ever you wondered how the many “walking men” of the world would look next to each other, search no further than the City Hall area in New York City.  This line of replicated walk signals follows the sidewalk of Park Place, between Church Street and Broadway.
